Nathaniel Gonzalez Attends GCRC's Annual Meeting

Nathaniel González-Santiago, from CIAR, attended the General Clinical Research Centers (GCRC's) National Annual Meeting in Washington, DC, from April 27 to May 1, 2005. His main purpose was to to obtain information about information technology tools in support of clinial research activities. Nathaniel to attended a series of seminars for informatics managers organized by the Association of GCRC Information Technology Professionals (AGITP). In these seminars, informatics managers from different GCRC's discussed issues associated to the use of information technology tools in the practice of clinical the research, including HIPAA regulations, security, and new tools for dealing with everyday day problems of a GCRC. Thanks to the AGITP community for encouraging and relevant advice.
